I'll just be over here swooning some more. If you haven't already, you should definitely go read it now. It's a slooow burn romance, but it is sooo worth it. This book gave me some serious butterflies. And I know, I said I didn't like Aiden at first, but the way he says her name had me swooning. Vanessa is probably one of the best heroines I ever read about. The characters in this book are really well developed and so likeable (well, except for a few). It's sweet and funny and reall sucks you into the story. Mariana Zapata's writing is something else. And then something happens that I honestly didn't see coming at all. I don't want to spoil you, but I thought this part was hilarious. Good for you girl! Then, several weeks later, Aiden suddenly shows up at Vanessa's door and tells her to come back. That's when she just drops everthing and leaves.

I genuinely thought of him as an self-centred prick in the beginning. And when the manager - what a douche - says really mean things about her, Aiden doesn't even defend her.

But Aiden doesn't seem to care a lot and just tells her to talk to his manager about it. She is super nervous when giving Aiden the news and also kind of feels bad. After two years she wants to pursue her own career and quits. She is working for Aiden, one of the best defensive ends in the National Football Organization. In The Wall Of Winnipeg And Me we get to know Vanessa. Her stories actually give me butterflies.

I really don't know what it is about Mariana Zapata's books, but somehow I'm always in awe. I don't think I have ever read such a sweet and slow burning love story before.
